Gasthaus Paxmontana - Sachseln

The meals offered a delightful variety and were all very tasty. the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. the location couldn't be better, with a short walk to the valley, the restaurant, and breathtaking mountain views overlooking a picturesque valley. it was an easy stroll to Lewes Priory Park, enhancing the experience in this beautiful area.

Ideal hotel, the stay was REALLY NICE, incredible location high on a mountain overlooking a picturesque valley below. I was satisfied with the big and light room, there were shower facilities, a hairdryer, and bath sheets just in case.

the position of the hotel was super, in the middle of the city.

Shame the bathroom was really small.

This hotel has attentive and excellent staff, a perfect location on a mountain with a beautiful view of the valley, and is close to the ski areas and mountains.

We decided to go for this hotel, because we could not find any vacancy in any hotel in Engelberg within our budget for those 3 nights during March 26-29, 2010. But, what a blissful godsend this hotel is !!!!!!!!!! Such a special jewel amongst those beautiful mountains, both the hotel as well as the little village, Flueeli !!! We could not believe how so very fortunate we were to have accidentally discovered such a rare paradise and this cosy friendly hotel. We extended our stay for on more night, and still did not wish to leave in the end...

So spiritual and so soulful that little celestial mountain village ! - and such a wonderful friendly hotel ! Really cannot think of anything we did not like ! Those 2 lovely chraming ladies even prepared a very special huge personal buffet breakfast for us, even though we were one hour late for their usual breakfast time - having had been mis-informed by one of their weekend staff members with later breakfast hours. Thank you so so so so much, those 2 lovely morning-duty ladies on March 27, 2010 ! So wonderful that all the way (mountain route) to Engelberg and back, the sceneries were so enchanting, that staying at this hotel is only a heavenly bonus for us !

The location was amazing and perfectly situated in a beautiful area. the room was tidy and had a lovely view of the mountains. A private bathroom with a bathtub added to the overall comfort of the stay.

I find Hotel OK, but I was unpleasantly surprised and I feel a little bit swindled by this hotel, because this hotel uses not a correct, much too low, exchange rate, when paying with credit card. Therefore I will not recommend this hotel to others.

Wi-Fi did not work

I always come back because Gasthaus Paxmontana has everything I need: clean rooms, friendly staff, and great amenities like free Wi-Fi, parking, and a restaurant. They even helped me with a bottle of water at night. Can't wait to return for a weekend getaway.

Diner was not cheap but excellent, the service was very good. The room was extremely clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is very nice and quiet.

I recently stayed at Gasthaus Paxmontana during a transit in Sachseln. The database provided accurate information about the nearest airport, which was only 59 km away. This convenience saved me valuable time and made my journey much smoother. the database highlighted that I was staying at the hotel for transit purposes, which allowed me to make a quick and informed decision.

I must mention a minor negative feature of my stay. The database described the room as woodpaneled, but what they failed to mention was that it had an MDF headboard.

Location - in a quaint little village, just off the village square. Beautiful, traditional chalet.

We stayed in Gasthaus paxmontana for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is perfect, nice and quiet village, with a great view at the mountains. Good start position for the car trips to Pilatus, Luzern, Titlis, etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great food in a restaurant, ate there for 3 times and always satisfied. OK,it may hit your budget, but this is Switzerland.

The room is nice and clean, but a little bit small and when there is a family staying in a room above you do not forget to bring the ear plugs with you, however all the feeling from this peace place is gone.
